Bushwhackers on July 17 included Manuel Lopez, Miguel from Lawrence, Scott Burnett, Peter Meier, Curt Watkins, Miles Krivena, Mike, Tim and several others. Officer Sean Finn brought a community service crew to help out.

Make a point to drive by both the work site at the end of the brick road, and along Valentine Road to see the results so far. Consider getting involved with the growing group as we begin to think about the Master Plan for Roanoke Park.

02-five-at-work-300xMiles Krivena, John Frick, Pete Browne, Kite Singleton, Randy Moore, Curt Watkins, Dave, Andrew Park, Scott Burnett, Steve Sitton, Manuel Lopez, Pam Gillford, Peter Meier, Frankie Messer, and a generous donation of a 5-man landscaping crew made great progress along the bluff at the end of the brick road on Saturday. We don't have good "before" pictures unfortunately, but here's a link to a Google Street View where you can pan around the intersection:

To avoid damaging trails, check Trail Status before biking or hiking off road. ("Rozarks" = Roanoke Park's 2.5 miles plus Rosedale's 3.5 miles.)
